Josh Haupert

As a 27-year-old factory worker on the graveyard shift, Josh Haupert knew one thing for sure: he did not want to be a 47-year-old factory worker on any shift. Two and a half years later he was the oldest junior copywriter in advertising. That was 14 years ago.

Most recently CD at McCann Toronto, Josh’s greatest industry passions thankfully line up with his best strengths – uncovering and articulating strategic insights and ideas in a simple, creative way that the humans will understand. 

His experience crosses virtually all advertising disciplines from traditional brand advertising to digital marketing to experiential activations to retail promotions. Past and present clients includes Chevrolet, Ford, General Mills, IKEA, Kraft, MasterCard, McCormick, Microsoft, Nestle, OLG, RBC, TD, Wendy’s and William Grant & Sons. 

Josh’s work has been recognized with numerous industry awards including the CMAs, ADCCs, FWA, Marketing, One Show, and the EFFIES.

Ben Playford

Ben Playford is a creative director with 15 years’ experience engaging people with compelling ideas, interesting stories and memorable brand experiences. He has a comprehensive ability to shape and express an idea across a complex array of platforms, technologies, and media. He believes in creating simple, effective ideas that place people at the centre of the experience, mixing creative advertising with technology and design.

Most recently Creative Director of Design at Tribal DDB, he was overseeing a team responsible for creative design, user experience and content creation for the agency's clients. Since 2004, Ben has worked at a number of agencies such as Trapeze, Henderson Bas, McCann, MRM and Tribal DDB. His client roster includes the following brands: Coke, McDonald’s, IKEA, TD, Scotiabank, Sony Pictures, Xbox, Disney, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Volkswagen, General Mills, Canadian Tire,  Applebee’s, IHOP (IHOb?), CapitalOne, McCormick, William Grant & Sons and Investors Group. 

Ben’s work has been recognized by the CMAs, ADCCs, Applied Arts, FWA, Webbys, and Marketing to name a few.
